( I ) GENERAL My portrayals are mere interpretations of what we are given in the canon game and I will update this writing as new information is being revealed. However, there will be times I purposefully change aspects as I do not agree with all of hyv’s choices when it comes to character writing or whatsoever. For more info about me however, please check out my carrd. :)( II ) SELECTIVITY While I try to interact with everyone within a server, may it be ic or ooc, I won’t write with someone under the age of 15 for a few reasons. It’s not because I think lowly of you or anything, but it’s rather about my personal comfort. It’s not because of you as a person, I promise! If you believe I dislike you for whatever reason, please reach out to me. I believe communication is incredibly important and I’m generally an open and reflective person.( III ) LITERACY My writing length depends entirely on my mood, time && motivation, although I tend to let it vary between novella and literate. I do not expect you to mirror and for the sake of our sanity, I won’t mirror either. This is purposefully because neither me nor you would like to end up in a burnout or writer’s block.
( IV ) WRITING SPEED I try to reply as fast as possible (ranging between one to two days at most), yet I can’t guarantee a reply within mere 2 hours. My schedule is quite packed considering how time consuming my school is and I often travel on weekends due to being in a medium distance relationship — furthermore, I cosplay, make art && work on wig commissions in my free time as well, meaning I have very time consuming hobbies besides writing. Please understand that I do not want to limit any of these purely because of one rp interaction. If I take more than 2 days to reply, please ping me.( V ) SHIPPING Fundamentally, I am a multi-shipper — meaning I don’t limit myself to one ship entirely. I enjoy certain rare pairs too and love to talk about them! Don’t be afraid to reach out to me to share your interests, I love hearing about other people’s ships even if I do not like them much. :) If I notice our portrayals don’t match, I will back out of the ship. I expect the same from you by the way! Communicate clearly with me.( VI ) NSFW Although I consider myself decently versed in NSFW, I do not like to write it on the regular. I don’t want to be forced into it and I expect you to respect my boundaries. Furthermore, I won’t write porn without plot. No means no and if you can’t come to your senses and feel like pushing this topic onto my nerves over and over again, then I will, kindly, block you and stop interacting with you.

NAME Al HaithamNICKNAME/ALIAS HayiTITLES Akademiya’s ScribeAGE late twenties, early thritiesDATE OF BIRTH October 11thGENDER & PRONOUNS agender, any prns
ORIENTATION unlabeledORIGIN SumeruHEIGHT 6’3" | 190 cmHAIR grey | turns lighter on the endsEYES turquoise | upturnedPIERCINGS -SCARS / TATTOOS / MARKING -DISTINGUISHING FEATURES several moles scattered across his face && bodyPHYSICAL DESCRIPTION A tall figure with flawless posture, Al Haitham carries an air of solemnity that many find imposing. First impressions are often made within moments, and his are no exception. To most, his demeanor appears distant — cold, even — creating a sense of hesitation in those considering approaching him. When truly engaged in conversation, however, subtle shifts in his behavior become apparent. He leans forward slightly, signaling genuine attention, while his deliberate use of space can feel almost calculated, as though designed to assert a quiet dominance. His resting expression reveals little emotion, making it difficult to read him in social interactions.Sharp, defined features frame his face, with piercing turquoise eyes. Vermillion flecks around his pupils form diamond-like patterns. Ashen tresses spill beneath his headphones, feathery strands swept to his left with a single rebellious lock standing out. The ends fade into a lighter tone, while light turquoise highlights on the undersides peak out.Rarely is Al Haitham seen without his noise-canceling headphones — a signature accessory that emphasizes his desire for solitude. He removes them only when absolutely necessary, using them to block out the world's distractions and retreat into the quiet comfort of his books.
personality.
Al Haitham is a pragmatic individual, who prioritizes logic and rationality. He acts out of self-interest, not out of disregard for others, but rather as a calculated approach to life. He maintains an emotional distance and tends to observe before engaging, especially when meeting new people. This reserved and distant nature allows him form an impression of their character and intentions carefully. Much like a chess player analyzing the board, Al Haitham evaluates others' actions before making his own moves, ensuring his decisions are well-considered and thoroughly thought through.
His worldview revolves around logical reasoning, evidence, and systematic thinking. Al Haitham bases his actions, beliefs, and conclusions on rational analysis rather than on emotions or personal biases. However, that does not mran he dismisses his emotions entirely. Instead, he thoughtfully integrates intuition and feelings, while balancing them out with logic. Whether or not he expresses these subtle feeling depends entirely on the context and the person he is interacting with. His words are always chosen with precision, adjusted carefully to fit the situation and audience.
One glance during a conversation is often enough for Al Haitham to determine a person's intentions and predict their next move. His observational skills — reading body language, facial expressions, and word choices — allow him to analyze and dissect situations with ease. By breaking problems into smaller components, he identifies relationships and patterns by the core, allowing him to make precise decisions and solve complex issues. Impulsivity has no place in his approach; every word and action is cautiously considered.
Although Al Haitham's confidence in his abilities may come across as pride, he does not see himself as superior to others. He believes in the potential equality of all individuals, regardless of social standing. Titles and positions hold little value to him beyond their practical benefits. His role as a scribe, for example, is merely a means to access information that aligns with his intellectual curiosity.
Despite his many traits and talents, Al Haitham's ultimate desire is simple: a balanced, peaceful life free of chaos and distractions. A quiet world where he can engage in his beloved books and uncover the fundamental truths of existence is his ideal. Uninterested in the grandiose schemes of society, he seeks only the serenity of understanding and the pursuit of knowledge.
Struggles a lot with loud noises, due to sensory issues, and will end up having a migraine when being exposed to these noises far too long.
Inclined towards music; Although he dislikes arhythmic musical work. His favorite genre includes classical music, as he likes slow and calming rythms as well as vocalless songs.
Left handed, prefers to write in cursive && pen and paper over modern writing tools. However, he has quite the messy handwriting on his notes
Dislikes the use of swearing; he believes it's impolite and doesn't express feelings and thoughts in a way it's appropriate
Al Haitham occasionally plays TCG as he places a bit of joy within it, mainly due the strategic aspects. Chess is one of the old fashioned games he has been enjoying ever since his childhood.
He isn't drawn to one book genre entirely and believes every genre should be appreciated equally. Books in his own possession, meaning they aren't borrowed, are usually worked thoroughly by notes being scribbled on the site or text being marked down.
backstory.
Al Haitham was confronted with death and tragedy at a young age already. Little to no memory has he about his parents other than the books they left behind for him or the stories his grandmother used to tell him about them.
He was born within a wealthy family with well-received scholars, being granted with his parents’ intelligence. Before the tragic incident happened involving Al Haitham’s parents, the father used to be a mentor in Haravatat meanwhile his mother was a scholar in Vahumana. His grandmother on the other hand, who also took care of him after the loss of his family members, was a Kshahrewar scholar. She was a gentle woman who only wanted the best for the outstanding little one. Al Haitham differed a lot from kids around his age, he was a sharp one who found those around him boring and tiring — he experienced much more joy from reading alone than listening to seemingly meaningless courses. As the grandmother saw the personalities and talents of her child and their partner within him and didn’t want those traits to be a waste, she respected his wishes and agreed on Al Haitham being self-taught — which consisted out of reading the many books being left behind by his family backgrounds, break down the contents, reorganize the winned information and solve potential questions by rereading and gaining more information.
The gray-haired takes a liking to access information through reading books made out of paper and hard-copy collections rather than obtaining knowledge from the Akasha directly. Books may be inflexible and rigid, aren’t error free and you will be exposed to misinformation easily. While many people among Sumeru disliked the lack of reliability, Al Haitham placed great joy within it. He has acquired the ability to read, learn, analyze and question the content written within the many pages of a book.
Before his grandmother passed away, whose funeral he handled purely on his own, she told him how he always had been one to outstand among those around him and possessed a wider horizon than many other individuals — to keep a clearer mind than others in order to make use of his horizon.
When applying for the Akademiya he was immediately permitted and scored incredibly high marks in the Haravatat entrance exam. His classmates were to say that Al Haitham was one not to mingle with the crowd. As the result of avoiding interactions with those around him, he only participated in one particular joint research project — which ended in a huge quarrel and a parting of the group due to differing perspectives. As the two of them forgot to cancel the project, the Akademiya used it as a reference for allocating housing resources and such, despite its early stage. As a participation reward, Al Haitham was granted a very decent house, which he still lives in up to the recent days. The other, whose name was Kaveh, did not approach him about the reward and only informed the Akademiya and Al Haitham later that was not in need of a house.
Finding the other bankrupt, and drunk within a tavern, he offered Kaveh to live together with him. Al Haitham frankly didn’t care that charging rent from Kaveh would deny the contribution to the research, thus why he let him move in and collect rent as the rightful landlord.

Three books, bound in a rich emerald tone and adorned with golden edges, their covers affected by the marks of time — slightly scuffed corners and pages faded to a soft yellow hue, hinting at decades of being dusted away. Al Haitham’s piercing turquoise eyes caught their glimmer as he roamed the Akademiya’s library, intent on returning a few books he had recently finished. His curiosity was piqued almost instantly. The titles promised intellectual treasures he could not resist. Without hesitation, he slid them from the shelf, tucking them securely under his arm.As he made his way home, the books cradled in one arm, Al Haitham arrived at the wooden door he and Kaveh shared. With a flick of his wrist, the key slipped into the lock, and he nudged the door open with his foot. The familiar scent of parchment, wood polish, and faint traces of Kaveh’s cologne greeted him. He paused briefly, preparing himself for one of three possible scenarios. The first, and most desired, was silence — the serene solitude he cherished, meaning Kaveh had gone out. The second, far less appealing, was a worked up Kaveh storming around, venting his frustrations as if the house itself were his captive audience. The third and final possibility, though much more appealing than the second, was finding Kaveh contentedly scattered across their shared space, indulging in whatever pastime suited his mood.A dull sound from within the house shattered any hope of the first scenario. The source was unmistakably Kaveh — hastily setting something down. Suppressing a sigh, Al Haitham stepped inside and closed the door behind him. The peace he had longed for was already a fleeting dream.Following the noise, he found Kaveh on the divan, his usual air of dramatic flair unmistakable. His blonde hair was slightly tousled, almost like he had been running his hands through it, and an array of papers and sketches was scattered around him. Al Haitham’s attention, however, was drawn to a pair of ornate cups placed carelessly on the low table nearby. Their intricate designs glinted under the light, their delicate craftsmanship standing out sharply against the rest of their modest interior. He raised an eyebrow, placing the old books on the nearby shelf with practiced care. His sharp gaze flicked back to the cups. They were most certainly new. Kaveh had a knack for bringing home impulsive purchases, but these seemed particularly extravagant.“Those,” Al Haitham began, his tone as sharp as his eyes, “are new.” He crossed his arms, tilting his head slightly. “I can only assume these expensive — yet entirely unnecessary — cups were your latest acquisition.”Kaveh, who had been sipping something from one of those cups with an air of studied nonchalance, glanced up. “Oh, these? They’re were a steal at their price if you consider the craftsmanship,” he replied, waving a dismissive hand. “Besides, they add a touch of class to the place. Don’t you think?”“I think,” Al Haitham replied dryly, “that your concept of priorities is as skewed as ever. If I recall correctly, rent is due at the end of the week.” He leaned against the doorframe, his voice as even as his posture. “Spending what little you have on ornamental trinkets hardly strikes me as a wise financial strategy.”Kaveh set the cup down with exaggerated care, clearly preparing for a counter. “You always see things so... rigidly, Haitham. Art, aesthetics — they matter! These cups aren’t just ‘ornamental trinkets’; they’re a statement. A reminder that even in the drudgery of life, beauty has its place.”Al Haitham raised a skeptical brow. “A statement, indeed. Though I suspect the landlord may not find them sufficient as a form of payment.”The room fell into a momentary silence, a faint rustling of papers at most as Kaveh gathered his thoughts. Al Haitham returned his attention to his books, flipping one open as he sat in the armchair opposite the divan. For a moment, neither spoke, the quiet tension between them oddly familiar, yet almost comforting in its consistency.“I’ll pay my share,” Kaveh muttered at last, his voice softer now. “I always do.”Al Haitham glanced up from his book, the faintest hint of a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. “See that you do. And perhaps next time, consider purchases that won’t require me to remind you of fiscal responsibility.”Kaveh huffed, leaning back against the divan with a dramatic flair that only he could manage. “You’re impossible, Haitham.”“And yet, here we are,” Al Haitham replied, turning back to his reading, the faintest trace of amusement lingering in his tone.
